Story

- Axtell Soho -

Axtell Soho is a major office development, prominently located at the junction of Warwick Street and Beak Street, close to Golden Square, the Carnaby Estate, and Regent Street.

The building is being sympathetically redeveloped, retaining the Art Deco charm of the original building, with the addition of three stunning new floors and roof terraces.

Axtell Soho offers an unrivalled opportunity to acquire a beautifully crafted, Headquarters office building with its own stunning roof garden in one of the most vibrant and forward thinking locations in central London.

Damion Burrows - Commercial architect

designed by award winning architects

Darling Associates is an award winning architecture practice with studios in London and Poland. They have been shortlisted in three categories for the AJ100 Awards 2017, including Practice of the Year, Employer of the Year, and Fastest Growing Practice.

The team is led by Damion Burrows. Damion leads a dedicated and committed team, and his recent successful projects include: Ampersand in Soho; Hudson House behind Covent Garden Market; Harcourt House, one of the West End’s most eminent residential buildings; and Lollard Street, a major affordable housing scheme in Lambeth.

He has recently appeared on television as a presenter of Grand Designs, and How to be Mortgage Free.

The architect’s aim was to revitalise the property through a robust composition that unifies historic and contemporary design themes, therefore enhancing Axtell Soho and providing the site with a stature of a building appropriate for this location.

Their solution enhances the street frontage, through improvements to the office entrance, so providing a more attractive and engaging experience for pedestrians passing the building. The internal commercial core has been reconfigured to allow direct access to the lift core, so enhancing accessibility, whilst the upper floors are being fully refurbished, including the provision of significant improvements to the building’s thermal envelope.
